General
Requirements
Use
the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:
Refer
to the document “Discussion Forum Philosophy.” Download the file, print it, and
use the information to guide your participation in the Main Forum. This
information can also be found in the GCU University Policy Handbook.

Per
the University Policy Handbook, each week, two initial posts and three ongoing
contributions are required for a minimum of five separate posts on 3 separate
days of the topic.
Directions:
Perform
the following tasks to complete this assignment:
Identify
the discussion questions/prompts in the Main Forum for the topic.
Identify
the concepts, principles, theories, and other information in the course
readings, lectures, and other resources that relate to the discussion
questions/prompts.
Locate
at least one scholarly research source which supports your initial response to
each question/prompt. The reference may come from the topic readings.
Write
an initial substantive response of 150-250 words in length. Begin your response
with a restatement of the question/prompt, and include in-text citation(s) and
a reference for each scholarly source used according to the APA guidelines
found in the APA Style Guide located in the Student Success Center. The
restatement of the question/prompt, the references, and the citations are not
included in your response word count.
Post
your substantive initial response to the Main Forum for the topic. Your initial
response to question/prompt 1 must be posted by day 3 of the topic. Your
initial response to question/prompt 2 must be posted by day 5 of the topic.
Contribute
to discussion by posting at least one substantive response to another learner’s
post on 3 days of the topic. Respond in a manner that initiates or contributes
to discussion.
Question:
After
reading, “Dr. Ronald Berman on Time Management” and viewing the video at the
conclusion of the article, describe two strategies you will implement in order
to improve your time management skills? How will you change your approach to
time management using that information?
Topic 1 DQ 2
The
DNP PI Workspace is a critical resource for DNP students. It contains essential
resources for this course and valuable guidance tools for successfully
completing your DPI projects. Navigate the DNP PI Workspace, Student Success
Center, and the Guidelines for Graduate Field Experiences. After reviewing the
above resources, answer the following:
- What
information within the Guidelines for Graduate Field Experiences, DNP PI
Workspace, and Student Success Center is the most helpful for this course
and the completion of your DPI project? Why?
- Review the “DNP Direct Practice Improvement Project
Recommendation PowerPoint” found in the course materials. Discuss a
potential topic for your project in a brief paragraph. Consider the PICOT
reminder slide when selecting your potential topic.
Topic 2 DQ 1
You
will submit your written assignments to Turnitin in your courses as you
complete the program. The purpose is to help you determine how effectively you
are integrating other sources into your own writing. Turnitin reports assist
you in determining if you are integrating other’s writing into your own
correctly and in accord with acceptable practices for scholarly writing. Review
the Turnitin report provided. Indicate paragraphs that you believe need review
and provide rationale. Also, discuss the impact of correct APA format and
integration of sources on your credibility as a scholar in the discipline.
Prepare

guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
Topic 2 DQ 2
Review
the “PICOT Selection Guidelines” resource.
Using
the PICOT format, formulate one evidence-based practice (EBP) question in
correct format. Follow the selection guidelines in order to choose an
appropriate topic idea that can be supported with empirical research.
In
150-200 words, justify why this topic fits the PICOT guidelines and is worthy
of additional investigation.
Submit
your PICOT question and supporting articles to the discussion forum for
feedback.
Prepare
this discussion question according to the guidelines found in the APA style
guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is not required.
Topic 3 DQ 1
After
reviewing the “DNP Direct Practice Improvement Project Recommendations”
PowerPoint, in addition to using the information you provided in your
application to the GCU doctoral program, briefly describe a potential topic of
interest for your DPI Project. How do you believe this project will contribute
to the body of knowledge in your field?

Once
you receive your Typhon access explore the website, create a sample case log
with 1 minute of logged time (0:60). Create a screen shot of the completed
sample log and post it in the Individual Forum for faculty review and approval.
